How do I use this?

First, get the MDRG rules and read them. This won't make a lot of sense if you don't already play the game.

Second, add the members of your team by type (human, animal, mutant, etc)

If you roll multiple options, pick which ones you want.

When your team is full, pick "Close Team"

Assign team bonuses

Print

Save the "Team Link" URL if you want to be able to view your team later

Can I edit characters?

Not yet. At some point. This is currently more of a generator for the first time you play to get a team built quickly.

How do I get team bonuses?

Fill out a team (5 units, 4 for a purity squad), and complete all the options (that is, pick all the skills, mutations, and such that there are options for) then click "Close team". This will activate the picker for any options you can apply.

All team bonuses are assigned to a models, so some bonuses (like 1d6 energy cells) must be carried by a specific model

How come sometimes units don't get the right number of skills/equip/etc?

A fair bit of the game logic is included in the character generator to make reasonable (and simple to read) character sheets. Some things are handled automatically:

• Equipment which only provides supplies (like energy cells or food units) is listed in the Supplies section
• Mutations which are the same as skills (for example, Leader) are automatically converted into that skill.
• Duplicate options (such as skills, mutations, etc) are collapsed into a single item.
• Some options are dual-choice, such as "Gunsmith or Sharpshooter". They are represented as two different skills to pick from, so sometimes you'll have three options to choose from on a line.
• Exclusionary options, like 'big' and 'huge' pick the 'best' one (ie, a model with 'big' and 'huge' will only display 'huge'), a model with 'short movement' and 'long movement' will only show 'long'

Are the quality/combat/movement numbers final?

Yes - the quality, movement speed, and combat numbers are final for all constant-effect attributes (such as combat computer, leader, champion, and such). They do NOT include equipment effects (such as laser rifle ranged bonuses).

Are the upkeep numbers final?

Yes - for the given set of attributes and equipment. The upkeep reflects the current upkeep costs for that model, with those skills, and that equipment. Things like power armor and power hand weapons have an independent energy cost, which is factored in, but if these items are later lost, you'll want to update your character sheet.

What do I do if I find a bug?

Email me, dragorn at kismetwireless.net, and include what happened, and preferably also the data line for the character which is wrong, which will look something like 'aS6E5,6,0,1r23,24r22Q4c3F0e0s1'
